Equalizer

By: A.C. Cash

Oh, the places we go

In our sleep

Ever so deep

High-rise parking structures

Or a stranger’s bedroom

Either way

Danger is abound

But, it cannot hurt me

So, I enter

Once more

No ordinary world

Disaster,

We do not avert our eyes from

Trashcan Superhero

Never change

Chaos, a continuum

On the astral plane

Sedation or seduction

Staring at moonscapes

Drunk on dreams

Of daycare scenes

Not forsaking ridicule

We dance naked

In the fountain of truth

Fast asleep

Slowly sinking

Back and forth

Into nighttime
